Decision. Maiden Edition

Forget my title, I know it sucks... so, to the point then! From tonight, I decided that I'm gonna create a new label tagged 'LNM/S' - short for Late Night Movie/Song.

Since I can hardly sleep these days, I try to find something to make the night interesting - a song (yeah, I can play a song like a zillion times/all night long), a group of songs, or a movie... the other day I put the movie 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love' on here. Feel free to go back and watch.

So for tonight... well, it's not a movie, it's two songs... and they've been playing in my head over and over again and it won't stop... here it is the first one:

Save the Best For Last, Vanessa Williams

Vanessa Williams - Save The Best For Last .mp3

And, the second one:

Enjoy; and to the launch of my new label - here! here!

Late Night Movie (LNM)

01:10 A.M.

What must a girl do to get decent sleep these days?! Don't look at me, I have no idea... I'm still up, ears plugged; and since sweet sleep has eluded me, I have decided to watch a movie - only way to kill the boredom!

So it's an old one... as old as 1998, 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love'.  Actors: Halle Berry, Vivica A. Fox, Lela Rochon, Larenz Tate, Paul Mazursky, Pamela Reed

Most of you must have seen it back then, but hey, it doesn't hurt to do it again... so watch with me? Bring your own popcorn tho... *wink*

Just close AD and watch the entire movie as a free user... yes, yes! I know you love me, I love you too...

*singing* Why do fools fall in love? Why do birds sing so gay, and lovers await the break of day? Why do they fall in love?

Stop jumping in front of the bullet for the same person that is pulling the trigger

GOD CAN BE TRUSTED

22nd April, 2012...
SERMON TOPIC: GOD CAN BE TRUSTED
SERMON TEXT: HEBREWS 6:13-20

NOTES BY: THE REBELKWEEN (yeah that's me!)

When the Pastor announced the sermon topic, i felt a little weird; like yeah! of course God can be trusted, who doesn't know that! But then again I thought, maybe some people don't... hence this blog is for those who don't believe, who stopped trusting in God and/or those who didn't make it church service today (@diamondaces, #Godiswatchingyou... hehe!)

So I wrote down a few points ---

1. There is no promise that God made that He is not able to fulfill

2. We are heirs of promise (see vs. 17 of the text) by virtue of being Abraham's descendants

3. God swore by Himself to Abraham (see vs. 13), so definitely when He says He will bless and keep you, He will prosper and flourish you, He will take you to the top with speed that you have never experienced before... (feel free to add your own promises); He will definitely do it. Why? Because first, you are an heir to those promises (check point 2); and because God does not lie, He swore by Himself, since there was no other person greater/powerful than Him to swear by!!!

4. God is not in the business of disappointing or changing His mind. He does not deceive people. He can be trusted... (allow me to insert here>>> for those of you who have experienced/been experiencing disappointments and let-downs in your relationships, you now know where to turn to and why!)

JOB (a perfect example)

Job trusted God even when he had lost everything, even when he knew he did not know what he did to deserve what he went through, even when he had every reason to walk away from God - He still trusted God. He became a specimen for analysis and observation to prove that he trusted God. His faith stood strong and was unshakable! The shocking part is, dude didn't even have a Bible to read constantly to keep him going and holding on, no word of God to soothe and comfort him like we have today, YET he believed.

How many of us today who even have the Bible to read all God's promises to us from can still stay faithful in the face of the sort of tribulations Job went through?! How many of us believe that our much-awaited blessings are only delayed, NOT denied?! #ponderthat

*** Whenever you begin to doubt or despair, you must always remember and believe that GOD CAN BE TRUSTED...

These words restored, rejuvenated, re-established, re-gingered my faith today; I hope it does something positive to your faith too... Shalom people!

Right hurr...

THE Friday, the 13th birthday...

Oh yes! Friday the 13th was nothing like a horror flick for me; on the contrary it rocked! It was so much fun... It was the RKween's mother's birthday! Yay!

I'm just gonna tell the story in pictures. Here we go:

The Celebrant (My Mother)

The Cake (it was so yum!)

The Salad (in the making)

My hands were on fire for the rest of the day for chopping these:

Du Riz

After serving guests, running errands and finally finding time to take a wash... the Rebelkween herself! Yes, emi noni!

By 8pm, most of the guests were gone... by 10pm, I was so tired crawling to bed woulda been the hugest task ever so I fell asleep right on my favourite couch; and it was indeed a happy birthday for Mama!

Wednesday Morning Muse

Can't sleep... so I'm chilling with this song:

Please don't ask me what the song means... cos I was up all night searching for the translation (just cos I know y'all would ask!), and I came up with nothing! Tsewww...

Let this start your morning anyways, it's a love song and it might get you in the right mood (for anything!) this lovely Wednesday morning....

Lots of love,

Your Aunt Rebelkween!

| the long HOL

They say it’s 4 days of weekend… well, not quite! Tola and V were at work yesterday, Jo is gonna be at work tomorrow, and I’m sure Aishida has been and will be at work on Monday too. So yeah, it’s the holidays except y’all still have to be at work. Too bad! Y’all have such horrible bosses…

Anyways, Good Friday was good the most boring day of my life! I don’t think I have ever been bored like that! I finally finished that novel about that stupid girl Jess who is confused about what she wants in life that eventually she gets nothing! I mean, yeah she finally gets to hook up with Dan, but who says she’s not eventually gonna dump him the same way she dumped Alex cos she wanted more! More chemistry, more commitment, more knowledge of his past, more knowledge about who and where he’s gonna hang after work, more insight about his work even though she doesn’t understand shit about hers not to talk of Alex’s (he’s a lawyer and she’s just too dumb to understand his job!), oh and yeah, more knowledge about why her best friend Lou had to be head over heels for Cassanova Andy, the same guy she already has built a family with in her head even though she’s dating sweet Alex! Stupid Hoe! Lesson to y’all out there wanting unreasonable more and more, you’re dumb and you’re gonna end up miserable!

Moving on… I had rice and chicken in the morning and felt guilty for the rest of the day! Who said ‘no meat on Good Friday’ again? It should be no ‘human meat on Good Friday’, considering Jesus was human, not chicken or cow or goat, so I don’t see why I can’t consume beef or chicken… just made me feel guilty for nothing! The likes of Clifford Orji should feel guilty on Good Friday, not me! I should sue!

Anyways, so most of the time I was in serious pain… (pain I don’t intend to tell you how it came about), and I got the idea that dancing vigorously would change things for the better, maybe strengthen the muscles in certain places and all? Well, I got on to it, had songs like Bad To The Bone (Brick and Lace), Lose Control (Missy ft. Ciara), Bad Boys (Alexandra Burke ft. Flo Rida), and Lose My Breath (Destiny’s Child) lined up… yeah I sweated and I think it worked cos I slept sounder than 2 days ago, although I went to bed trying to give a definition to Missy’s “do my thing, motherfucker!” What was she talking about?! *innocent look*

So it’s Saturday again, no power, about to kneel and pray boredom doesn’t drive me crazy today… about… OMG! Up Nepa! God sure answers prayers we haven’t even prayed! *jumping for joy*

Before the week wraps up, I’m giving a shout out to my very good padis whose birthdays came up during the week, and even on the same day – the shawty, Nikky; and the dude V, himself! I no go gree next year o, y’all have to throw a party together, I can be your events planner. I won’t charge too much, kwoss my hurrtt!

Enjoy your Easter. xoxox
